A beauty blogger who started posting photos of herself without makeup has published a video showing how ugly people can be.
Em Ford has a blog called My Pale Skin and she has built up a following on YouTube and Instagram where she posts makeup tutorials on how she covers up her acne to achieve a flawless look.
But three months ago she started posting photos of herself without makeup and began receiving thousands of messages about her face.
In the post accompanying the video Ford said she wanted to create a film that showed how social media could set unrealistic expectations on both men and women.
She decided to highlight some of these comments in a YouTube that has now been watched more than three million times.
In the video she appears without makeup surrounded by hateful comments that people have posted including “her face is so ugly”, “you look disgusting”, “WTF is wrong with her face” and “I can’t even look at her.
